The Ring of Fire is active again which means I am spending about 3 hours a day on the USGS website monitoring earthquake activity. I find it mesmerizing.
A 7.2 magnitude earthquake struck in Alaska late on Thursday. Alaska is among Japan, Fiji, Panama, Papua New Guinea, Indonesia, Costa Rica, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, Tonga, Samoa, Chile, Peru, Bolivia, Argentina and Antarctice for nations recording moderate to strong earthquakes this week.
I guess I know what I'll be doing this weekend. I love storm chasing and wish I could actually chase earthquakes, but since they are a lot less predicatable, I would probably be wasting a lot of money.
