We ended up losing the series to the 2010 World Series Champs, the San Francisco Giants. But, the good news is..... JIM THOME is RETURNING today!Wait. No. He isn't.
Thome was supposed to return from the DL list today, but it appears he will remain sidelined through at least the weekend for continued back and quadriceps rest. Thome is currently rehabbing in Florida.
Thome has been out since June 1 and received a cortisone injection for his back on the 10th.
Well, I guess if he is going to return, it might as well be for a home game, right? I am definitely looking forward to getting Thome back. He is my favorite 40 year old DH and I miss him.
